Texas Structural Pest Control Service Category Trainings
 
General Standards and Laws and Regulations 2009 Training Dates   This training will satisfy the Structural Pest Control Services requirements for certification of Commercial/Noncommercial and Technician licensing of pesticide applicators (8 hours of training). This is the general training, and not a category training. In addition, while the Texas Department of Agriculture does not require training as a condition of licensure, this class will prepare license applicants for the TDA General examination. Technician Apprentice Training 2009 Training Dates   Provides the technician apprentices and other employees with an opportunity to receive 24 hours of in-depth, hands-on training relating to the 20 hours of "Classroom" training required by the Texas Structural Pest Control Service. Online registration for this course is unavailable.
Pest Control Category 2009 Training Dates Online course This category includes persons engaged in the inspection and/or control of insect or animal pests which may invade homes, restaurants, stores, and other buildings, attacking their contents or furnishings or being a general nuisance, but do not normally attack the building itself. Termite Category 2009 Training Dates Online course This category includes persons engaged in the inspection and/or control of termites, beetles, or other wood destroying organisms by means other than fumigation in buildings, including homes, warehouses, stores, docks, or any other structures. Lawn and Ornamental Category 2009 Training Dates Online course This category includes persons engaged in the inspection and/or control of pests or diseases of trees, shrubs, or other plantings in a park or adjacent to a residence, business establishment, industrial plant, institutional building, or street. Weed Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes persons engaged in the inspection and/or control of weeds around homes and industrial environments. You may register for training in this category online at Extension Conference Services or call our office at 979-845-1099.
Structural Fumigation Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes persons engaged in pest inspection and/or control through fumigation of structures not primarily intended to contain food, feed or grains.
Commodity Fumigation Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes persons engaged in pest inspection and/or control through fumigation of commodities and/or structures normally used to contain them.

Vector Control Category 2009 Training Dates Online course This category includes the control of insects that vector human and animal diseases including mosquitoes, filth flies, other blood feeding flies, and fleas. Rodent Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of rodents which may invade offices, warehouses, and other buildings, attacking their contents or furnishings or being a general nuisance. Weed and Brush Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of any unwanted growth on agricultural pasture and rangeland.
Farm Storage Pest Control and Fumigation 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of all pests of stored farm commodities on the farm or in a public or private warehouse. Materials covered include fumigants and other applied pesticides used to control insects, diseases, and vertebrate pests affecting these commodities, including but not limited to farm storage, soils, machinery, fresh produce and plants.
Field Crop Pest Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of insects, diseases, weeds, and using harvest aid materials in the production of field crops such as cotton, grain, and forage.
Fruit, Nut, and Vegetable Pest Control 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of insects, diseases, weeds and using harvest aid materials in the production of fruits, nuts and vegetables.
Aquatic Pest Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of undesirable growths of aquatic weeds, including the primitive algae and higher forms of floating, submersed and emerged plants. Also included in this category are various species of fish, mammals, reptiles, and birds when they are aquatic pests.
Animal Pest Control Category 2009 Training Dates   This category includes the control of external parasites on animals.
